I wrote LONE WOLF'S CAPTIVE (Thank you for helping me with the title, Nicola Davidson, author buddy extraordinaire!) close to two years ago. And after I finished the first draft, put it aside while I worked on another story. Other projects took over, but I hadn't forgotten my wounded alpha hero. How could I leave him in the virtual drawer?
After I submitted to Escape Publishing, I truly never expected anything. Like most authors, I've had my share of rejections. They suck, a lot. So I tend to go into these things expecting the worst. To say I was floored when I received an email from Kate Cuthbert saying she wanted my story, is an understatement. I burst into tears.
The whole experience has been exciting... and scary, but I've loved every second. I don't think there's any feeling quite like seeing your very first book cover. My publisher did a spectacular job. I mean, look at those eyes! I love it! So, so much :)
So to celebrate my wonderful new cover, I'm giving away a $25 Amazon Gift card.
LONE WOLF'S CAPTIVE releases through Escape Publishing on the 1st of March.
Here's the official blurb:
He let her father chase him off once, but this time nothing is getting in his way.
Fletcher Stone was forced out of the pack life, and now he makes his living as a hired thug, living day-to-day without honour or commitments. Shame over his choices and his lifestyle keep him from returning to the pack to claim Delaney — the woman who holds his heart. But when a rival pack hires him to kidnap her, Fletcher takes his chance. Now he must convince her that he never wanted to leave…and reveal a betrayal that will break her heart.
Delaney Jones has spent the last five years convinced the man she loves is dead. Nothing else would keep him from her. So when Fletcher shows up, whole, healthy, and very much alive, she’s devastated — and pissed off. He broke her heart once and he's never going to get close enough to do it again.
